Welcome to Coffee and Pepper Homestay – Your Home in the Heart of Nature
Nestled amidst the lush greenery of a 70-year-old plantation estate, Coffee and Pepper Homestay is more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to feel at home. Built by our grandparents over five decades ago and lovingly expanded into a two-storey guest haven, our homestay is a beautiful blend of heritage, nature, and heartfelt hospitality.
Located just 15 minutes from the nearest town, and Periyar tiger reserve our homestay offers peace, privacy, and a genuine connection to nature. With coffee plants, cardamom, Ayurvedic herbs, and spices growing all around, every step on the estate is a sensory journey — from the scent of fresh pepper vines to the sight of vibrant fruit trees and butterflies flitting through the canopy.
We are a proud family-run homestay and have already hosted guests from over 45 countries — each one becoming part of our ever-growing global family. Whether you’re here to explore the plantation, unwind in the serene atmosphere, or experience authentic local culture and cuisine, we ensure your stay is comfortable, memorable, and meaningful.
Our Deluxe and Pool rooms are pet-friendly, with enough area for your furry companions to play and run freely, both indoors and across the estate. A shared balcony with a glass roof invites you to relax with a book, sip on estate-fresh coffee, or simply watch the rain dance on the trees.
We cook with love using our own spices from the garden, offering fresh, local, and wholesome meals. Each morning begins with a hearty, home-cooked breakfast made from ingredients grown right here on our land.
Sustainability is not just a practice for us — it’s a way of life. We proudly operate as a low-waste, near-zero-waste property, with eco-conscious decisions guiding everything we do. From avoiding single-use plastics, using recycled paper and reusable glass water bottles, to composting kitchen waste and recycling shampoo and toiletry containers, we continuously strive to tread lightly on the earth. Most of our shelves and fixtures are made from sustainable materials like wood, and we work every day to minimize our environmental footprint while maximizing your comfort.
Whether you're a solo traveller, a couple, a family, or a group of friends, Coffee and Pepper Homestay is a place where you'll arrive as guests and leave as friends. Our guests often say 95% of their experience here is unforgettable — and that’s exactly what we aim for every single day.
Come, be a part of our story. Breathe in the green, Savor the quiet, and experience the soul of sustainable living — one stay at a time.
